Crimson Wine Group, Ltd. (OTCBB: CWGL) announced a new program to provide support to sommeliers who are currently unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Crimson Wine Group’s (Crimson) Support Our Sommeliers (SOS) initiative invites sommeliers from across the country to share their stories and experiences on its social media platforms. Each sommelier influencer who participates in a wine educational video will receive a stipend and a donation will be made to C.O.R.E. (Children of Restaurant Employees). The Crimson brands participating in the program include: Pine Ridge Vineyards (Napa, Calif.), Seghesio Family Vineyards (Healdsburg, Calif.), Archery Summit (Dayton, Ore.), and Malene Wines from California.
“This talented community is part of our family and we are committed to providing help to those who have supported us throughout the years,” said Crimson Wine Group CEO Jennifer Locke. “This is the time for us to come together and support one another as much as we can, and we are very thankful we have the capacity and tools to do so.”
Crimson will feature enthusiastic sommeliers on its social media platforms, showcasing their diverse backgrounds and wine knowledge while featuring wine from one of its outstanding wineries. Topics will include wine profiles, food pairings, winemaking techniques, and insider tips. For more information about the Crimson’s SOS program, please visit our Support our Sommeliers page.
